About
About Me
I was born and raised in Flower Mound, Texas, and started performing when I was 8 years old. I graduated from Oklahoma City University with Honors with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and minor in Directing. In my time at OKCU, I studied Shakespeare, Chekhov, on-camera technique, Linklater, Feldenkrais, dialects, dance, and vocal performance. I also have over 8 years of improv experience, captaining two separate troupes.
In addition to performing, I am also a director and write & produce original pop music under the stage name KC Star. I am now based in Los Angeles, California!
About My Art
Community and connection are at the heart of all my work. What draws me to the art of theatre is the ability to share an experience, a moment unlike any other. I seek to cultivate such moments in a safe but exploratory environment, a gentle but provoking setting. My hope is that the art I create and share will bring a new conversation, a new perspective, to those involved – it will invoke change at some level, small or large. Shared experiences and change remind us that, after all, we are human.
I am inspired by life, music, the queer community, my friends and family, my dreams, and honesty. I approach my art with these things guiding me, creating an aesthetic that combines perfection with mess and serves the purpose of the piece itself.
I believe storytelling is more important now than ever, as people are yearning for that connection and community that they have been deprived of, and I feel the responsibility to do my duty as an artist to provide that.

"We are each only one poem, one painting, one song away from another mind, another heart."
Michael Chabon
